Abstract:
One-boson-exchange potentials (OBEP) for ΞN and ΞΞ systems
are derived in extension from the NN OBEP of Ueda, Riewe and Green
in the framework of SU(3) invariance with effective nonet
mesons in addition to the effective SU(3)-violating σ
meson.
The ΞN OBEP is applied to Ξ--nucleus bound states.
The SU(3) parameters that were determined in fitting the ŁN
system are used.
Only the coupling constant gΞΞσ is newly adjustable.
This is determined so as to reproduce the energies of
Ξ--12C bound states.
With the best value, we predict the scattering and bound states for
ΞN and ΞΞ systems.
In particular, we predict a Ξ -11B bound state in agreement
with the experimental results of the E885 collaboration.
