Statistical Calculation of the 8B Solar Neutrino Capture Cross Sections For 97Mo and 98Mo

Abstract:

A statistical calculation is carried out for the cross sections of the 8B solar neutrino captures by 97Mo and 98Mo. A reasonable agreement is obtained with Cowan and Haxton's values which have been simply scaled from the shell model value for 81Br, thereby confirming the basis of the proposed experiment.
