Vacuum Polarization Effect on the Chiral Bag Model with ω Meson

Abstract:
A chiral bag model with ω meson is presented and discussed in relation to the Skyrmion model with ω meson. Contributions from the vacuum polarization to physical quantities, i.e., the axial current flow and the baryon number density at the bag surface, are properly treated with a requirement that the Skyrmion with ω should be realized as the limiting case of bag radius R →0.
It is found that a natural extension from the previous works on the chiral bag model without ω meson is possible and the R-dependence of the total energy becomes very weak at R < 1 fm as one of main features of our results.
