Instability of Quasi-Linear Hyperbolic Systems

— The Hamiltonian Dynamical System Approach —

Abstract:

We investigate the instability of the quasi-linear hyperbolic system as the transient process, by examining the first Lyapunov exponent of the corresponding Hamiltonian system with a large number of degrees of freedom.
