Reflection and Transmission of Waves from the Interface of Nonlinear Systems

Abstract:
The transmission and reflection of waves produced by the incident
soliton at the interface of sine-Gordon systems are numerically
investigated by computer. The ratio of the energy of the reflected (or
transmitted) wave to the incident soliton energy is calculated and is
compared with the results obtained by a lowest order approximation.
