Abstract:

Based on the equation of state for supernova matter suitably constructed, the characteristic features of hot neutron stars at the birth era, such as a "fat density profile", are demonstrated. Also, energies releasable in the formation and the cooling stages are estimated for the case with and without pion condensations and are discussed in connection with SN1987A.
