Energy Spectrum and Intermittency in Two-Dimensional Decaying Turbulence

Abstract:
In a two-dimensional Navier-Stokes simulation with random phasing disturbance, intermittent structures disappear, but the energy spectrum is not shallower than that of the simulation without the disturbance.
