Stability of Quantized Chiral Soliton Coupled with the ρ Meson

Abstract:
Stability of the chiral soliton coupled with the ρ meson which is quantized by taking breathing modes into account in addition to the spin-isospin rotational modes is examined on the basis of families of trial functions. It is shown that the parity-conserving states are not the ones with minimum energies and the solitons collapse through the spontaneous parity-violating states. The decay paths are represented by a parameter of trial profile functions.
