Abstract:
We study a population of
threshold elements with non-local interaction.
A localized state exists if the short-range interaction is
excitatory and the long-range interaction is inhibitory.
We find some novel localized states, such as
a discontinuous localized state
and a localized pattern surrounded by a chaotic background.
