Abstract:

The low energy KN and KN reactions are investigated in the case in which the kaon-nucleon-hyperon interaction is of the scalar type, with the nonrelativistic approximation. Direct interactions between kaons and pions are not considered. The higher order effects of kaons and pions are examined in detail and their importance is emphasized. It is shown that, as far as the parameters are adjusted to fit the experimental data on the KN scattering, those of the KN scattering can be hardly reproduced.

In these both papers the coefficient corresponding to λ0 in the present paper is wrong in sign by mistake. Therefore their result concerning the KN scattering with I = 0 is not correct.
