K--P Reaction at Threshold

Abstract:

The transition matrix for K--P reaction is discussed. The scattering length for K--P interaction is obtained in terms of the coupling constants between K--P, π-Σ and π-Λ channels. The relation between the branching ratio of Y* and Σ/Λ ratio at threshold is derived. The large imaginary part of I = 0 scattering length is discussed under the assumption π-Σ P1/2 resonance. The coupling constant of Fujii-Sakurai's vector meson is tentatively determined.
