Abstract:

It is pointed out that the composite model of pion can easily explain the fact gA/gV > 1, where gA and gV are the axial-vector and the vector coupling constant of β-decay, respectively. Further, it suggests a model in which pion plays a role to discriminate between baryon and lepton in a symmetrical world where all quantum numbers except for baryon and lepton number degenerate. The weak coupling constant is determined by the baryon mass and the cutoff mass. A general criterion is settled which can judge whether some theory has a possibility of explaining the origin of the mass of spinor particle or not.
