Abstract:

The phase shifts of pion-pion scattering are calculated by using the N/D method. The subtractions are done for N and D, so that there may be the resonance in P-wave and S-wave which correspond to the ρ-meson and the ABC particle respectively. The one-boson-exchange approximation is investigated. It is found that the approximation is valid if there is a resonance corresponding to the boson exchanged. The cutoff dependence of the integral equation is examined. The results are compared with the pion-pion scattering experiment.
