The localized modes of a simple cubic lattice with an extended defect are investigated quantlitatively. Eigen-frequencies associated with a line defect or with a plane defect form the band which overlaps with the frequency interval of the unperturbed spectrum. Those modes damp exponentially with the distance from the defect. The frequency spectra of the modes assoicated with the isotopic defect are given for the special values of Q.
