Abstract:

By using the “momentum proper time”, which coincides with the usual time in the momentum rest frame, the general Lagrangian and Hamiltonian formalism of classical relativistic spinning particles are developed. As an example of this formalism, we find a classical model which directly corresponds to Dirac and Duffin-Kemmer particles. In connection with this example, we find differential operators which satisfy Bhabha's condition and, therefore, correspond to Dirac's γ-matrices if we confine ourselves to the spin 1/2 states.
