Symmetry Character of Bound States with Multichannel

Abstract:
It is pointed out from the standpoint of the Green function formalism that the existence of bound states in multichannel problems always introduces a group which is restricted by the degeneracies of bound states and their constituent particles. The vertex function of the secondary interaction between a bound state and its constituent particles is proportional to the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients of the group. Further, it is shown that the bootstrap philosophy can be seen as a formalism in which the elementary (or, more strictly speaking, fundamental) particles and their interactions are eliminated from the usual formalism of the field theory.
