Abstract:

The equal time commutation relation for the electromagnetic current is used to derive a sum rule for the pion form factor following the covariant method of Fubini. It is shown that the inclusion of pion, ω-meson and A1-meson (1+) intermediate states gives a charge radius of the pion in agreement with the recent experimental data.
