Abstract:
We study the effects of the two-particle-two-hole correlation in the core on the motion of the outer two particles and two holes. Using a method of scattering eigenmode diagonalization, we can derive the renormalization effect on the one-particle energy and the backward configuration mixing to the state of the outer nucleons. It is found that the effects are considerable and the level schemes of O18, F18 and N14 are reproduced by using the reaction matrix as the residual interaction.
