Abstract:
The Veneziano-type amplitudes for P8V9 →P8V9 and P8P8 →P8V9 scattering are constructed. From these amplitudes, several sum rules for the V9P8P8, V9V9P8, T9P8P8 and T9V9P8 coupling constants are obtained, which are consistent with the SU(3) symmetry and Okubo's nonet ansatz. In particular the universality relation gρππ = 2gρKK is obtained. Here P8, V9 and T9 denote the pseudoscalar meson octet, the vector and the tensor meson nonets, respectively. An exchange degeneracy scheme for meson trajectories is proposed; αP8 + 1 = αA8 + 1 and αV9, αT9, where α means the trajectory function. In the case of P8V9 →P8V9, a problem on parity doubling is discussed briefly.
