Symmetry Breaking of the Chiral U(3) ⊗U(3) and the Quark Model

Abstract:

Through an analysis of the masses of η and X mesons, possible symmetry breaking terms are introduced, in addition to the quark mass term, and are explicitly constructed from quark fields. The six-fermion interaction is discussed as one of their simplest examples.
