Abstract:
We study the s- and t-channel helicity conservation hypotheses in
πN →A1N reaction. It is shown that the main properties of
density matrices for this reaction can be explained well by using the
t-channel helicity conservation hypothesis and the hypothesis of the
Pomeron dominance. Requiring the factorization theorem for s-channel
helicity conservation in the nucleon vertex, we obtain the following
scattering amplitude:
TπN →A1N = (e ·qπ)Kµuγµu .
However, this amplitude does not mean the s-channel helicity conservation.
