Abstract:

Formulas for the ft value, beta-ray spectrum, beta-ray angular distribution and beta-gamma directional as well as circular polarization correlation are given in the case of parity-nonconserving allowed beta transitions. Contributions of all improper second forbidden matrix elements, \intr2, \intα·r, \intσr2, \int(σ·r)r, \intγ5r and \intα ×r, are taken into account up to their square terms. The correction due to the finite size of the daughter nucleus and the finite de Broglie wavelength effect can be included by evaluating the combinations of the electron wave functions, fκ and gκ, and their phases, numerically.
