Abstract:
A scheme is proposed in which the matrix elements for pseudoscalar meson production in neutrino-nucleon collisions and for B8 →B8 + P8 + e- +\tildeνe decays can be described. This scheme is based on a generalized “similarity” assumption. In this scheme we can obtain some sum rules for pseudoscalar meson production in neutrino-nucleon collisions and for spontaneous decays, B8 →B8 + P8 + e- + \tildeνe. Some of our results are different from those obtained from a theory proposed by Ogawa. From the viewpoint of the universality of weak interactions, we predict Γ(Σ+ →pπ+e-\tildeνe ≈(1/3)Γ(Σ- →pπ-e-\tildeνe ≈0.5 ×10-17 MeV, as a possible experimental test of our theory.
