Non-Local Effects in the Nucleon-Nucleus Effective Interaction

Abstract:

We analyze the sources for non-locality and show that non-local equations with symmetric interactions are in general completely equivalent to quasi local (angular momentum dependent) ones. Non-local effects and in particular the zeros of the non-local Wronskian are then studied: although the latter correspond to equations of Fuchsian type their physical meaning is dubious.
