Abstract:

Asymptotic form of the lattice Green's function of the simple cubic lattice is obtained for both outside and inside the band. The number of stationary points is shown to be one, two, three or four. Explicit simple forms in [111], [110], [100] directions for 3<a (outside the band), 1<a<3, and 0<a<1 (inside the band) are presented. The validity of the method of the stationary phase is discussed.
