Abstract:
The Kuti-Weisskopf (K-W) quark-parton model is applied to analyses of the hadronic inclusive distributions. This model contains valence quarks, core quarks and gluons, reflecting the two-component duality picture. In our model calculations, the following three processes are assumed to be dominant contributions:
a) Quark-anti-quark annihilation into a meson,
b) meson-pair production from parton-parton collision and
c) bremsstrahlung-like process.
The phenomena in the proton fragmentation region are resolved:
1) The behavior of (1 - xF)3∼4 is obtained for the nonexotic processes (pp →π±X and K+X).
2) A slim shape of xF-distribution near xF ∼0 is obtained for the exotic process (pp →K-X). It is found that the π/K ratio can be reproduced by the coefficient twice as large as SU(3) symmetric one. The obtained spectra can reproduce reasonably well the observed data in the wide energy range in terms of only a few parameters.
