Abstract:
A rigorous theory is presented of the localized magnons around an impurity spin which is substituted in a one-dimensional Heisenberg ferromagnet and couples with its nearest neighboring host spins by an anisotropic exchange interaction Exchange interactions between host spins are assumed to be isotropic. The p-type and two kinds of s-type localized magnons are obtained. The energies and wave functions of the localized magnons in the case J⊥' = 0 and J||
' = 0 are calculated, where J⊥' and J||
' are respectively the perpendicular and parallel components of the exchange integral between the host spins and the impurity spin.
