Abstract:

Systematics for dip structure of longitudinally polarized vector meson productions in the helicity frame is discussed using a weakly exchange-degenerate pion and B-meson Regge-pole model with a slope α' = 0.7 GeV-2. While the pion is assumed to transfer only zero helicity in the t-channel, the B-meson is assumed to transfer both zero and one helicity; the ratio of the zero-helicity coupling to the one-helicity coupling turns out to be consistent with the B-meson decay, B → ωπ. Origin of the dip ρ00sdσ/dt for a ρ production is attributed to the zero of the crossing matrix. It is shown by the same origin that a pion effective trajectory determined by an energy dependence of ρ00sdσ/dt has somewhat discontinuous behavior, which is consistent with the result by Estabrooks and Martin. The original pole is masked for ρ00sdσ/dt by strong absorption for (ρ11s - ρ1-1s)dσ/dt; the slope of the effective trajectory determined by a t-dependence of ρ00tdσ/dt becomes much steeper than that of the original one.
