Structure of Inner Couplings in Exclusive Reactions

Abstract:

The magnitude of the inner couplings is investigated from the analyses of partial cross sections of π^-p and pp interactions by means of a simplified multi-Regge model. It is clarified that the inner pomeron coupling g²_PM is very small compared with the inner-meson one g²_MM, i.e., g²_PM / g²_MM≃0.01. This result leads to a switch-over mechanism of dominant reaction mechanism with increasing energy.
