Abstract:
We computed the total kaon production cross section of the reaction ν+p→µ-+K++p up to 175 GeV, by using the form factors of linear, quadratic, single-pole type and Lee's, which were determined by measuring the Kl3 decay. The result is that the single-pole type and Lee's form factors are consistent with the single strange particle production cross section, while the linear and quadratic form factors break down at about 5 and 1.8 GeV incident neutrino energies respectively. The lepton momentum transfer distribution is also computed with the single-pole type and Lee's form factors.
