Abstract:

ISR data on inclusive one-particle high PT distributions at large center-of-mass angles, and on inclusive two- and three-particle correlations associated with high PT π0-meson emitted at large center-of-mass angles, are analysed by taking into account the production of SH-quantum and its subsequent two-step decay into pions through H-quanta. Good fits to the experimental data are obtained with the values of the masses, temperatures and mean pion multiplicities of SH- and H-quanta consistent with those known from the cosmic ray data. It results from the present analysis that the production cross section of SH-quantum at ISR energy is 2 ∼3 % of the inelastic cross section.
