Structure of Inelastic Overlap Function for the 30 ∼1500 GeV Proton-Proton Scattering

Abstract:

Structure of inelastic overlap function for the 30 ∼1500 GeV p-p scattering is studied on the basis of both elastic and multi-particle production data. A remarkable result is that a multi-particle production, in which most of final particles are in the central region of the Feynman variable x, contributed to the inelastic overlap function rather at large impact parameter of the initial particles. A universal feature for this contribution is conjectured.
