Abstract:
A model for the recurrent X-ray bursts from 3U1820-30 in the globular cluster NGC 6624 is presented. The X-ray bursts are explained in terms of instantaneous accretion by a compact binary companion when it intersects an accretion disk surrounding a more massive black hole.
