Abstract:

The hypergeometric distribution is compared with experimental data. The correlation parameters and the moments calculated by the use of the proposed formula coincide very well with the corresponding experimental data, in the whole energy range from the threshold to FNAL energies. It turns out in this model that KNO scaling is slow in the FNAL energy region but the observed values of <nc> Pc (nc) measured in this energy region is considerably different from the true KNO scaling function.
