Leptonic Decay of the New Resonances and the Nature of the Confinement Potential

Abstract:

It is shown that the experimental data of the leptonic decay rates of the new resonances indicate that the confinement potential of the charmed quarks is weaker than a linear potential. This consideration also explains the absence of significant peaks in the e+e- experiment above 5 GeV.
