Abstract:

The S-matrix operator for a bilocal field with a “φ3” self-interaction previously obtained is applied to a computation of the two-body elastic scattering amplitude and the self-energy. The scattering amplitude shows Regge behaviour and damps in a Gaussian manner in both the s and t channels. The self-energy is finite to second order. Some ambiguities with the physical interpretation of the self-energy are also discussed.
