Vortex Ring without Singular Cores in Superfluid 3He-A

Abstract:
A localized structure in the superfluid 3He-A which consists of two vortex rings without a singular core in various configurations is described. The general asymptotic solutions for the order parameters minimizing the free energy are obtained for the structure. We also give the expressions for the linear and angular momentum, and discuss possible connection between the freedom allowed in the asymptotic solutions and the configurational freethe configurational freedom of the double ring.
