Abstract:

The process pp →π+d is analyzed by the assumption that the neutron exchange Born term, ΔN intermediate states and di-proton resonances contribute to this process. The neutron exchange Born amplitudes are unitarized by the K matrix with the two channels pp and π+ d. Contribution of ΔN intermediate states is estimated by using the amplitudes of pp →ΔN calculated by Kikugawa et al. Di-proton resonances are represented by the Breit-Wigner resonance formula. Our calculations are in good agreement with the experiments. Without di-proton resonances, we cannot reproduce the experimental data well. For 1D2 and 3F3 diproton resonances, we obtain consistent values of mass and width with the values obtained in the analysis of pp elastic scattering.
