Evidence for “Total Number” Conservation of Quarks in the D-Meson Decay?

Abstract:

We point out that the total number conservation of quarks leads to a longer life time of D+-meson than of D0-meson which is consistent with the recent data. We suggest a universal suppression of final exotic states in D-meson decay and discuss related problems.
