Abstract:

The minimal extension of the Weinberg-Salam theory satisfying left-right symmetry and quark-lepton unification is given by SUc(4)⊗{SUL(2)⊗SUR(2)}. It is spontaneous breakdowns to SUc(3)⊗{SUL(2)⊗U(1)} and then to SUc(3)⊗Uem(1) are ascribed to two Higgs multiplets. A relation between two mixing angles associated with these breakdown is obtained. The mass scale of the first breakdowns is estimated by the renormalization group method to be 1014∼15GeV.
