Abstract:

Based on the second-order perturbation of the extended coupled channel equation, the finite-range calculation for the two-step process in 48Ca(p,t)46Ca(0+, g.s.) reaction at 20 MeV and 40 MeV is performed. The cross sections of the reactions are well accounted for by the one-step plus two-step mechanism including the virtual break-up of the deuteron.
