Abstract:

We study the glueball pomeron singularity, which corresponds to non-planar production of two heavy clusters overlapping in the rapidity space, from a perturbative approach of quantum chromodynamics in the infinite momentum frame. In non-planar amplitudes for the two heavy clusters the most infrared-singular part of Born diagrams with a single gluon exchange in the t- and u-channel cancels a box diagram without a gluon exchange, as in the two-dimensional model. There remain terms surviving the cancellation, which come from less singular part of Born terms with a transverse gluon exchange.
