Renormalization Group Functions of Orthogonal and Symplectic Non-Linear σ Models

Abstract:

The symplectic Sp(N)/Sp(pSp(N-p) non-linear σ model is studied in 2+ε dimensions and in 1/N expansion. It is shown that the critical exponents are identical to the corresponding expressions for O(-2N)/O(-2pO(-2N+2p) non-linear σ model. The β-functions are determined up to three-loop order for orthogonal and symplectic models.
