Effect of Higher Multipole Nucleon Pairs on the Band Structure in Transitional Nuclei

Abstract:

Using the single j-shell model with the pairing plus quadrupole force, we show that the higher multipole nucleon pairs bring about the spin dependent changes in the band structure. The collectivity associated with the E2 transition is found to persist.
