A-B Transition in Superfluid Helium-3 Film

Abstract:

A-B transition in the superfluid Hilium-3 film is studied by using a variational method. This transition is expected to be observed if the film is thinner than several microns. Changes in the third sound velocity and shifts of the N. M. R. resonance frequency at this transition are estimated.
