Altarelli-Parisi Equation Including Photon

Abstract:

Altarelli-Parisi equation is extended so as to include the photon among participating partons. Parton distributions in the photon and parton decay functions into a photon are calculated in this scheme using the kernel function method. As applications, real photon production cross sections in e⁺e^- and pp collisions are studied quantitatively.
