Abstract:
Excited states in the 4He nucleus are studied within the framework of [tri-nucleon cluster+one nucleon]-cluster model. Calculations are performed using a realistic effective potential and its modified ones. Discussion is made about the effect of the effective potentials on the splitting among negative parity states. It is found that effects of non-central forces in the cluster-model are different from those in the 1p-1h shell model, and the triplet-even component of tensor force plays an essential role in reproducing the level splitting. Results of [3H+p]-[3He+n] coupled channel calculations are compared with experimental data of 3H(p, p)3H, 3He(n, n)3He and 3H(p, n)3He reactions. The cluster model reproduces various kinds of data quite well. The level scheme of 4He and its relation to 3H(p, n)3He reaction are investigated in detail.
