Abstract:

The π0-condensed state in neutron medium is investigated, based on the [ALS] (Alternating-Layer-Spin) model by the use of OBEP, and by taking account of the effects of short range-correlation (s.r.c.) and isobar Δ(1232 MeV). It is found that critical density nc and the stability of the system are strongly affected by the coupling properties of baryons to heavy mesons, in particular to ρ-meson: For moderate values of the ρ-baryon coupling constant we obtain a stabilized π0-condensed state at the densities higher than nc≃2n0. It is also found that the range of the s.r.c. affects nc but not so much the stability.
