Abstract:

The estimation of constituent quark masses is performed in non-relativistic potential model. The results are mu(md)=420MeV, ms=670 MeV and mc= 1920 MeV. Then the current s-quark mass is estimated to be about 250 MeV or 520 MeV. This result for the current s-quark mass does not contradict the naive SU(5) prediction.
