The Perpendicular Conductivity in Quasi-One-Dimensional Superconductors

Abstract:
The electrical conductivity perpendicular to the chain axis in a quasi-dimensional superconductor is calculated. The phase Hamiltonian with the interchain interaction of the Josephson type is used and the phase representation of the hopping current between chains is found. The normal conductivity behaves like T-3+2η_, where η_=√(1+\tildea)/(1-\tildea), \tildea=\tildeg2-\tildeg1/2 and \tildeg1(\tildeg2) is the coupling constant of the backward (forward) scattering normalized by πvF. The excess conductivity calculated by the decoupling approximation behaves like ε-1/2, where ε is the reduced temperature (T-Tc)/ Tc. This result agrees with that in the three-dimensional system.
